In early 2020, when Google announced they were going to phase out the third party cookies in Chrome, they also announced an initiative called Privacy Sandbox. Privacy Sandbox is a collection of privacy-preserving API’s to meet the needs of publishers and advertisers, whilst keeping user privacy first and foremost.

There are a lot of proposals with different names, and it’s (as always with digital advertising) complex, but the team at Cafe Media have done a great job in describing the parts of the sandbox in the above image, which we thought was worth sharing. Enjoy.
