Data Analyst

We are seeing fast growth at The Programmatic Advisory and are looking for a technical Data Analyst to join our Operations team. We’re looking for an exceptional individual with a technical background who can help move forward our data ingestion and analytics processes built around Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google BigQuery.

The role will report directly to the Client Operations Director but will have the space to quickly build ownership and responsibility across our data practices. A lot of self-learning will be required so this role will mainly suit someone who has a solid understanding of data ingestion and analysis and is looking for a project to apply that understanding to new business cases.

Example projects this role could expect to be involved in, include;

  • Building new data workflow processes in GCP that ingest data from various sources
  • Build ETL processes that standardise and prepare data ready for analysis
  • Building data workflow and connectors for automated visualisation (i.e to Data Studio)
  • Build automated reporting and dashboarding that solve for various client and internal briefs
  • Test automated ML features in GCP to create forecasts and analysis


  • Work with the Operations Director to create processes that standardise data ingestion and visualisation
  • Working closely with and writing briefs to our GCP partner to project manage more technical data projects that require backend data developer / engineer expertise
  • Become the go-to expert on data ingestion and analytics processes across the consultancy
  • Work alongside digital media consultants to scope solutions to client briefs that will require building new data sets and analysis
  • Start to build an understanding of digital advertising and understand where TPA and our data solutions fit into our clients success


  • Experience using reporting tools to develop meaningful reports, analysis and insights
  • Understanding of basic data ingestion, storage and ETL processes
  • Experience writing live data queries using SQL or similar
  • Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multi-tasking and organisational ability
  • Someone who is happy to get involved in the unknown and look to solve problems with a technical mindset
Highly Desirable
  • GCP certifications
  • Experience building dashboards with Google Data Studio
  • Understanding and application of ML models (i.e. predict, propensity, segmentation models) to build meaningful analysis
  • Interest and/or understanding of data-driven digital advertising
